hmm.. been missing home.. bb.. and everyone badly these few days.. i dont know why..just called my mum to inform her that cheryl n shawn will be coming from 5th to 10th march.. the conversation wasnt much but juz asking to check the condition of my asics shoe.. but it turned out that i was tearing again after i end the short call..
perhaps i miss the warmth in singapore.. the family warmth.. the warmth from my loved ones.. and the weather(maybe)..
they say u wont want to leave this place at the end of gip.. but i'm almost 1/3 through and it's getting quite hard for me to move on without tearing coz i miss everyone so much..
let's hope the lil short trip cheryl n shawn is making will ease things alil..
even the research on hongkong doesnt help..

It’s been a week since I returned to
The world revolves around money.
Like what D said yesterday, he thinks he missed out a lot on brotherly love. I think I’m missing my family and friends as well. I don’t really feel that people are with me. I feel more alone than ever.
I miss home!
As much as shopping is good here.. I miss the company.. and they say you cant get the best of both worlds.. so I’d choose family and friends over shopping.

after a short stay in singapore, a trip to guangzhou.. i'm now back in shanghai..the weather is much better than before i leave.. i see sunshine.. the average daily temperature is rising.. i wonder if i made the right choice in leaving behind my eskimo suit when i left shanghai for singapore..
it's tough getting myself to work again after nearly 2weeks' abscence from my desk.. so yesterday was mainly spent surfing the net and recapping what i've done..
i wanna apologise to all my friends who're in singapore.. my busy schedule doesnt allow me to arrange for any short meetup.. i'm sorrie..
coz my double entry visa has been used up.. i urgently needed a visa to get back to shanghai for 'long stay'.. there goes the extra S$50 urgent fees..

I am feeling horrible on my first day returning to work. I should have applied for leave today as well, then I’ll get to spend vday n his bday with him.. why am I so stupid, upright and honest? That 1 day wouldn’t make much of a difference given the no. of days I already took leave for. The feeling is worse than when I first arrived in Jan. I feel so much like crying now. Going home to the home alone later, hopefully the gift wrapping is able to get my mind off this. I don’t know how I am supposed to bring all the stuffs home also.. like soo many things. Haiz.. I am so stupid!
Just that 1 day leave can earn me 3-4 more days in
bb.. I’m sorry for overlooking that.
I shall scrimp and save to pay dad & mum the extra amount incurred for flying around as if it’s free. Yesterday alone spent almost 1000rmb coz of the card.. they better finish using else it’s my money that’s gone not theirs..

o.. here's the updates on my flight back to singapore from shanghai on 2nd february 2008..time scheduled to depart shanghai: 1040hrs
time i boarded the plane: 1230hrs
time they removed snow & ice from the plane: 1915hrs
time the plane took off from shanghai pudong airport: 2030hrs
time the plane touched down at singapore changi airport: 0120hrs on 3rd feb 08
time i reached home after departing immediately: 0200hrs..
total duration delayed: ~9hrs 50mins
total time spent in the cabin: ~13hrs

this gip trip + guangzhou trip has caused my parents to spend lots of money.. not to forget the adverse and uncertain weather conditions in Shanghai & Guangzhou this year.. airtickets alone costs more than 1000sgd.. i feel bad.. i think i should save more to pay them back as much as i can.. for my own 'experience' and 'enjoyment'.. i've given them unnecessary financial burden.. not to mention worries when my flight as delayed and the plane couldnt take off till much later.. it doesnt help that i was travelling alone then..the experts are blaming la nina for the cause of this disastrous cold weather..
maybe i play a part in this too.. leaving behind carbon footprints.. less driving from now.. well.. i couldnt even drive in china.. haha.. so maybe that should help alil.. shall stay away from disposable chopsticks and such..
news reported that beijing might have snowstorm.. several of them are going over in the next few days.. let's all pray that the snowstorm wouldnt affect them much..
gotta go bath now.. wb coming over soon.. and we'll go buy the stuffs and go out and enjoy.. for awhile more.. before i call my boss to let him know abt my new plan..

I’m stuck on the plane.. departing shanghai to Singapore now.. the time now is 1400hrs.. my flight was scheduled to fly at 1040hrs.. wow.. that’s like 3hrs20mins delay.. and.. I was informed earlier that we’re the 25th in the queue to get cleared of snow and ice.. hmm.. which means I’ll have to wait approximately 4hrs more to set off for sunny Singapore.. wow.. that’s like 6pm to fly.. and 5hrs flight.. 2300hrs.. =] haiz.. there goes my Saturday.. what the..It’s been a bad time..
So many of my first time occurred during my 4weeks in shanghai.. my first time leaving home for so long.. my first time living alone in a room so big.. my first time seeing the snow falling from the sky.. my first time buying all the household items on my own.. my first time getting a tennis racket.. my first time getting angry over people coz they don’t wanna go out! Haha.. my first time staying in a guarded condo.. and now.. my first time flying alone.. waiting for flight alone.. waiting for it to fly alone..
Coincidentally.. this is also the 1st in 50years that shanghai snowed so heavily.. first in dunnoe how many years that shanghai has experienced such cold weather..
Enough of all these stuffs.. back to the topic of shanghai..
Generally.. shanghai is a cool place to shop.. cheap buys.. great bargains.. spacious malls.. cool quotations.. interesting fakes.. what more can u ask for in the piracy nation-china.. 七浦路 also known as cheap road.. is the so-called wholesale place for clothing and shoes.. but I don’t really like the place.. coz of the poor quality it has to offer.. disgusting shopping experience as you have to squeeze with the crowd.. and it’s freaking.. hot and stuffy inside the mall.. with so many shops packed into a lil space.. and them displaying their stuffs which extended into the walkway.. the effective aisle for shoppers is miserably small..
Well.. seasonal sales never fail anyone.. the same applies to me..
