this is a super long post..
this morn.. i spent almost 13sgd on nothing..
cabbed to msia high comm at jervois rd in hope of settling my citizenship matters.. alighted.. walked to the right gate.. the guard told me it's closed on sat.. haiz.. to think i thot they'd b hardworkin to work 1/2 day on sat.. so i askd if there's anyway i can cab home.. he asked me to walk all the way out to main road.. which is freaking far! so.. the smart me started strolling.. and saw a hired cab driving into a dead end.. haha.. being even smarter.. i waited for the cab at the junction into the dead end.. thinking the cab muz come out no matter what.. n the driver wldnt b tt stupid to drive into a dead end with the passenger inside? the passenger wouldnt agree too.. haha.. and.. indeed.. it din fail me.. the cab came n sent me home.. =]
funny incident tt happened at work yesterday..
my manager bought my aunt a log cake.. her fav flavour-blueberry.. i wasnt aware of this..
when i came back after lunch.. i saw a log cake near my table.. it's from kopitiam for our dept for xmas.. my manager askd my aunt to ask me to cut it up n distribute to the dept.. however.. as it was shortly after lunch.. i put the cake into the refrigerator.. and i was busy helping other people with the distribution of diaries.. by the time i m back.. i was askd to cut the cake up again.. i saw a cake on my aunt's table.. in the exact same box as the one she askd me to cut.. so i took it to the pantry.. thinkin..
'ey.. i thot i put it in the refrigerator? how come it's outside now? cannot put issit?'
nvm.. i happily opened the box thinkin.. yea.. i hav something to eat.. hahaha.. n when one of the executives askd who gave the cake..
'was this cake here since morn?'
'i dont know..'
'i thot i saw it on xxx[my aunt's name] in-tray..'
'is it? i reallie dont know.. i saw it only durin lunch..'
ppl.. that was a sign..
happily happily i cut the cake up.. 2 slices.. b4 my aunt came to check how i was doin.. she took over the knife.. and as she cuts.. she yelled!
'y did u cut my cake?'
'this is ur cake?'
'u took it from my table right?'
'ya.. but i thot this is from kopitiam? u askd me to cut it..'
'my boss gav me this cake..'
so i opened the door of the refrigerator.. tadah.. the kopitiam cake was inside still..
haiz.. hahahaha..
and the manager came.. n said.. 'u v.lihai.. cut also cut the small one la.. y u cut the big one?'
-indeed.. the 2 cakes were in the exact same box.. save for the size.. but if u din know the existence of the 2nd one.. u wldnt think so much.. esp. when u only seen the cake once..
-the 2 cakes had almost the same figurines.. save for 1..
-it was cheesecake given to us by kopitiam.. vs blueberry.. but who can tell if it's a choc coated log cake?
hahaha.. in the end.. the whole dept knows abt it..
nway.. haha.. this is super long n random i know..
went g2000 with my sis on wed.. coz i had this 50% voucher compliment of wingtai n my boss.. the whole place was in total mess!!!!!!

about vivocity..
From WikipediaVivoCity (怡丰城) is the largest retail and lifestyle destination at the HarbourFront precinct in Singapore, Opened on 7 October 2006, it marked the completion of the main structure by a topping-out ceremony on 18 April 2006. It was officially opened on 1 December 2006. Derived from the word vivacity, VivoCity, according to Mapletree Chairman Edmund Cheng, "evokes a lifestyle experience that is modern, stimulating and accessible to everyone, a place bubbling with energy and flowing with vitality". After a week's of operations, the mall has received nearly a million visitors.
HistoryVivoCity was built on the site of the exhibition halls of the former World Trade Centre, now the HarbourFront Centre. VivoCity has 1.5 million square feet of gross floor area and 1.1 million square feet of retail space, larger than Suntec City and Ngee Ann City, the former of which was the largest prior to VivoCity's opening. It was designed by the renowned Japanese architect Toyo Ito. Mapletree Investments is the developer of the S$417 million complex.
The terminal of the Sentosa Express monorail will be located inside VivoCity, it will be known as Sentosa Monorail Station.
Official openingThe shopping mall opened offcially on 1 December 2006 after its soft launch on 7 October that same year. The official opening included a six minute fireworks display, a concert by American band String Theory for the general public, and a Stefanie Sun concert at the mall's amphitheatre at the Sky Park on the third floor. The guest of honour of the event was chairman of Temasek Holdings and former cabinet minister S Dhanabalan. During its first month of opening, it attracted 4.2 million visitors, equivalent to the population of Singapore, in attracted 7.28 million visitors in total before the grand opening.
The String Theory concert included a giant harp which strings strech to the third floor of the mall. The concert was held at The Promeanade and it started on the first and ends on 10 December. Barricades were put at the boardwalk blocking the front portion of the boardwalk which is facing the Keppel Harbour. CISCO auxillary police were deployed for the opening, with the food court on the third floor and the whole Sky Park (roof garden) closed to the public for the day. Parts of the car park were closed for the invited guests as well. A giant projection screen was put at the main entrance of the mall, this screen was to show the concert of Stefanie Sun.
Facilities
VivoCity’s iconic architecture sets it apart from the traditional box format of many existing (and upcoming) retail developments in the region as it includes event spaces, al fresco dining by the 300 m long waterfront and a large roof top amphitheatre. VivoCity's design allows it to accommodate over 300 different tenants, including many new-to-market brands and retail concepts. It also has Singapore's largest cinema multiplex with 15 screens and 2,293 seats by the cinematic company Golden Village, along with one of the largest cinema screens in Asia.
Companies such as Toys "R" Us and Dairy Farm have their flagship outlets in VivoCity. Dairy Farm, which owns Cold Storage, Shop N Save, Giant, 7-Eleven and Guardian Health & Beauty takes up 3,700 square metres of space on Basement 2 and about 7,400 square metres on Level 1. The new hypermart, called VivoMart, is connected by its own travelator and sells gourmet food from all over the world, including the United States, Germany, Japan and Australia.
There are two giant food courts — a 2,200 square metre Kopitiam Group facility in Basement 2 and another spread over 2,500 square metres run by the BreadTalk Group, which is a Food Republic food court in similar concept at its sister food court at Wisma Atria.
As one of the venues of the inaugural Singapore Biennale in 2006, several commissioned art pieces from established designers around the world were also unveiled in VivoCity. An international student design contest was recently held to find a design for incorporation into the architecture of VivoCity; it received 365 submissions from various countries.
Other features include a Planet Fitness gym, spas, restaurants and dance clubs. A Tangs store is located in the building, which it is the only branch other than its flagship Orchard Road store. The store will sell a number of merchandise that cannot be found at its Orchard Road store, and the management has said the aisles are wider. The management has announced that at least one shop will open every day until its official opening on 1 December. The first Gap store in Southeast Asia opened at the mall and a number of new faces to the Singapore retail market will set up shops at the mall such as a cluster of Spanish shops, River Island and Club Marc.
The mall has a car park with a total of 4,000 lots and a loading and unloading bay. The carparks are located in basements 1 and 2 as well as from levels 2 to 7. Also, there is a coach and tour buses bay in the mall. The carparks are divided into several zones, with the mall giving free parking on the opening weekend of the mall.
There is a linkway at basement two of the mall that directly connects to HarbourFront MRT Station.
ANYWAY.. my point in blogging about Vivocity is..
for the ladies.. please do not wear short skirts.. and i mean skirts above knees.. those on the lower levels can easily see what's beneath your skirt.. i'm quite sure you dont want that to happen to you.. it's.. super ultra vulnerable.. really.. it's proven.. [alright.. i accidentally saw a girl's when i went up the escalator from b1 to level1.. i was gazing what are the shops on that level.. i din know that was an added bonus.. ooops..]
and.. if you are thinking of watching at gv vivocity.. THINK again.. the 'evacuation' is terrible.. at least in my context.. i thought i was escaping from some office building when the alarm went off.. horrible! litters.. dark stairways.. steep.. high steps.. or issit juz that cinema hall i was in?
haha..
nonetheless.. they have eateries with superb sea view.. hmm.. if you are facing sentosa.. dont turn your head to the right.. that's psa.. unless you prefer to admire the cranes and containers.. instead.. turn to your right.. greenery..
level3 is cool.. yepz.. not with those who are attempting to swim.. i saw little boys who chose to bare his entire body! haha.. fine.. they are little boys.. =]
